The world is fake
But appears so real
Smiles are fake
And Seldom real
Confused, I’m not
About this betrayal
It’s certain that
My wounds are real
But worry not
They shall heal
But with one look
That I shall steal
Yet my heart
Still wont heal
Until I feel
What should be real
Expression is such a strange word…
For how are words used for expression?
Is it with words that you proclaim your emotions?
Or with a gesture to explain your heart’s dispositions?
Does one write words in an endless composition?
Or does one say something that is meant for hidden comprehension?
Does one have to say something in a poetic rhyme?
To tell you that his love is as endless as time.
Or can one simply say, that you’re mine, all mine?
For indeed you are mine, just mine.
Once upon a dark gloomy night
Wandering within was a brave young knight
Asked him I did: ‘What ails thee o knight?’
He replied: ‘I wish not to bother thee with ailments of my heart’
‘It is bothersome not, tell me what pains thy heart’
‘Very well’ replied he, ‘listen to the tale I now start’
‘Rescue I did once upon a time, a princess imprisoned by fate’
‘Fought a fire breathing dragon I did, to change her doomed fate’
‘Restored her to her castle I did, thanked me she did for changing her fate’
‘Went home I that night, thinking about the princess I saved’
‘Sleeping that night, realized I, love had befallen my heart’
‘The following morning, confessed I did to this angel about the feelings of my heart’
‘Turned me down cruelly she did: “Nay go away! Love thee I do not”’
‘Added she heartlessly: “I love another, whom thee are not”’
‘Accepting what she said, went away I did, for disobey her I could not’
‘And that my friend is what troubles my weak heart’
‘Fear not’ replied I, ‘hope ye feels better after unloading thy heavy heart’
Replied he: ‘I thank thee for lending an ear to my heart’
Away he went wandering back into the sad night
Followed him from a distance did I, observing his actions in the night
Upon a bridge climbed he, leaping from the height, making this indeed a sad night
Moments after he had left the bridge, a princess came into sight
Saw me she did and asked me if seen I had a brave young knight
Nodded my head I did, saying descended off this bridge had the knight
Cry she did, claiming: ‘Love him much I did’
Walked away I did, leaving her to her deserved fate
Wiping her tears, from the distance she called
‘Wait a moment please…. Answer my question’
‘Who are thee o dark stranger?’
I replied: ‘Fate my dear… your fate…’
Deny I can’t my love for you
I say I do love you, forever and true
In you I find beauty and true virtues
Escape from me as you may
Break my heart with something that you say
Deny my love as you do everyday
Yet my love for you remains unchanged
My love will remain, forever unchanged
Although that means my soul will remain in chains
Change is something my heart cannot accept
My heart cannot reject someone with such an effect
Even though I try, my heart interjects
Once again I say, I do love thee
For true love is always what I feel for thee
Today, Tomorrow and Forever
Promises too keep
Promises to break
Promises to defy
Promises to glorify
What are promises but words and phrases
To help us get by life and its various phases
To you I tell a tale of much sorrow and grief
The story is quite interesting yet brief
Once upon a time, a brash boy loved a girl
Desperately fell in love he did, with this girl
The girl had pretty little curls
And an enchanting smile that could be seen from a mile
She had a face which could charm thousands
And a personality which could captivate millions
Underneath this attractive exterior
Hid she a character quite vile
Sweet and kindhearted was she, according to the boy
Little did he realize, all he was to her, was a play toy
Sophisticated and manipulative was she
Kind, simple and stupid was he
Told to this girl he did, the feelings of his gentle heart
Thus began this sad story about the breaking of a tender heart
Love you I do, said she to him
Lied she, looking honeyed at him
Vows of love exchanged they
Embraced each other did they
Wedding vows they exchanged
Kisses of passion they locked within
Married for a week they were
Apparently happy they were
A week later, the girl said
I love thee no longer, leave me and be gone forever
At the courthouse they met
To sign divorce papers, to undo the knit marriage net
The deed was done, the marriage annulled
Departed they did, about to go their separate ways
The boy asked as the court session reached its end
You said you loved me, if so why did it end?
You silly boy, replied she, I never loved you
Just the wealth that came with you
Thus ended the story, of this boy and girl
So now I leave them alone…
The girl now with a lot of wealth
The boy left only with his health
